This necklace is made with a locally found shark tooth, 14k gold plated stainless steel chain, freshwater pearls, and gold plated charms.

Gold plated (water resistant):

Avoid contact with any chemicals or products. Gold plating can wear off and turn silver after extensive wear in water (particularly the attachment pieces). Occasional wear in water is fine. 

Silver (water proof):

Avoid contact with chemicals. Stainless steel/sterling silver is tarnish proof and fine to wear in water frequently.
